Bye-bye Sandals

With the heels worn out and the elastic gotten loose this pretty pair of peep-toe slingback sandals won't make it to the new cubicle with me when I move in about 2 weeks - and it's a shame that our journey together has come to an end.  They weren't designer shoes or anything expensive (in fact I think I found them at Payless Shoes), but I really liked how the heels are just the right height to be comfy while looking classy, and the little dots along the edges were just so adorable.

Oh well, I guess what they say is true - where would you find room for new shoes if the old ones don't go?

Shoe Therapy

I was wandering in Marshalls (a Winners-type department store) just killing time before a dinner party and unexpectedly came across these absolutely gorgeous leather pumps with a metal-studded bow - I don't really need another pair of shoes (I should really be looking for replacements for my black winter boots that are falling apart) but I decided that these shoes would be my consolation prize - for seeing others getting what I really really want but never getting it for myself.

Since I am going to be a bridesmaid for B's best friend who is having her wedding in July (too bad he couldn't be a bridesmaid!) I was asked to wear silver shoes with the purple dress to go with the theme colors of purple and silver.  I have nothing of that sort in my wardrobe, however, so I thought it'd be a great idea to start looking.  I haven't decided to go with flats or heels yet - do I weigh comfort over appearance?  After all, the gorgeous bridesmaid dress is a full-length evening gown that might require something with a touch of class and elegance.  It's the perfect excuse to go shopping for new shoes, but it's gonna be difficult to choose among all these adorable offerings!
