nothing a bottle of bubbly won't fix

I was pretty bummed out yesterday to have missed the much anticipated company BBQ to celebrate our company's big comeback in the US market, thanks to my own naïveté and a very timely switch of shifts with a co-worker who had a "medical appointment" in the afternoon (quoted, because I had learnt later on that it's more likely than not an excuse to stay home to enjoy the nice hot weather).  To lift my spirits, I was going to pick up a milk shake from McDonald's - but was deterred by the ridiculously long line-up.  So instead I stopped by LCBO and picked up a nice bottle of bubbly rosé - and I was my usual happy self again!
